Hendrik works as a motorcycle taxi driver in Medan, North Sumatra. He is one of Cinta Baca’s loyal visitors and he likes to spend his time reading in the library while waiting for orders from his customers every day. He has been trying to find libraries in Medan before he finally found out about Cinta Baca.
About 50,000 villages in Indonesia do not have libraries and only 1% of schools in Indonesia have libraries. For those reasons Cinta Baca opens easy access libraries from Aceh to Papua to increase the habit of reading among Indonesians.
