Impact of the FRP

Here are some impressions from a number of women who have recently participated in the Family Reading Program (FRP) in a number of different areas:

“My children have increased their critical-thinking when I read stories to them. As we read together there are so many things that prompted my child Aby to ask questions. Some of these questions are about the contents of the story or book, while others have no connection to that particular story or book”

“I am excited to be a part of the Family Reading Program (FRP), for through this program my children are excited and are more comfortable with reading”

Ibu Mubarokah (Aceh) Anak : M. Bintang Trilaksono (5 yrs old)
“My child is now more confident/brave to answer questions. She also constantly asks me to read books to her at home. At the Family Reading Program (FRP), she may read 4 books over and over. Before she preferred to just watch TV rather than read.”

“My child who is 5 years old cries everytime I don’t want to read a book to her that she likes. I have seen the impact the Family Reading Program (FRP) has had, and now feel more confidence personally to lead the FRP in my village.
