On September 20, the PT SDS PISP II Reading Post in Ujung Batu, Riau closed after being inactive for two years. “The reading post’s location is about 3 to 4 hours from the nearest staff’s house and it’s hard for him to visit. And the library’s location is far from the residential area because it is inside an oil palm plantation company’s area,” said the Cinta Baca staff. A Reading Post is the smallest form of library, with 200 books. The Reading Post is located at a local person’s house or in a public place to help children to have easy access to books.
