On March 30,2026,  Cinta Baca in Medan, North Sumatra, closed two of its reading posts: the Oma Zemi Reading Post and the Tebu Hijau Reading Post, each located about an hour away from the Cinta Baca City Library in Medan. These two reading posts were closed due to a lack of maintenance and program implementation. Every Cinta Baca library is obligated to implement Cinta Baca’s core programs while ensuring the books within the library are well-maintained so that the surrounding community can experience the impact of the library. If that impact is no longer felt, Cinta Baca will relocate the library to a location where it is more needed.
