(MEDAN, CB) – On July 2, 2012, five of the ten new reading posts from the partnership between CB and PT Gas Negara SBU III have now been opened. The official opening of these five post was held at the Reading Post in Tanah Enam Ratus, Kecamatan Medan Marelan, in the city of Medan in northern sumatra.
Two of the posts are located in Kecamatan Medan Merelan (Post Enam Ratu and Post Terjun) and the other three posts are located in the Kecamatan Hamparan Perak of Kabupaten Delo Serdang (Pay Bakung, Tandam Hiulir I, & Kelambir Lima).
The official opening ceremony was attended by all the CB facilitators and local operators and the local governmental officials of these different areas. The official certificate of operation was signed and ribbon was cut by the National Director of Cinta Baca together with the leader of PT PGN SBU III and the local government.
In 2012, PT Gas Negara SBU II, which serves northern Sumatra, has now partnered with CintaBaca for a second time to bring books to the greater Medan area. This partnership has been build on the success from 2011 when PT Gas Negara SBU II sponsored 10 other reading posts in this same area.
