After the Smart Reading (storytelling) activity at the SDN 1 Rengasdengklok Reading Post, in West Java, the Cinta Baca staff invited first-grade students to read books together. Unfortunately, most of the children were not yet proficient in reading books, so the Cinta Baca staff created a unique activity: letter hunting. “I asked the children to take a book from the library shelf and find a letter I mentioned in the book they were holding. This way, the children could learn to recognize letters.” said the Cinta Baca staff. Reading post is a library in the smallest scale facilitated and managed by the locals.
