“I remember when I was little, that I had to save money only to buy books that I liked because we were not rich. ” Mahnidar recalled.  “That is why I open this reading post so that children can read for free. ” The 35 years old teacher shared. Mahnidar is a local operator at Oma Zeni reading post in Medan, South Sumatra. It established in 2010, which makes it the longest running reading post in Medan.

A Reading Post is the smallest form of library, with 200 books. The Reading Post is located at a local person’s house or in a public place to help children to have easy access to books.
