Raimuna village is 4 hours away by motorcycle from Baubau city in Southeast Sulawesi. Electricity is only lit up at night and during daytime children will help their parents in the fields or taking care of the livestock. There is no library in the village, so when Cinta Baca’s staff came to bring books all children immediately stormed the books. They even begged the staff to stay longer so they could read more.
Cinta Baca opens up opportunities for those who want to take part in opening reading post in Raimuna village.
Reading post as the smallest form of library will help children to have easy access to books.
To take part in opening more reading posts in Indonesia, please visit our website Cinta Baca or email us at info@cintabaca.org
