At the second Smart Learning meeting at the Cinta Baca City Library in Medan, North Sumatra, a father was seen attending as a participant. This was unusual, as the majority of participants are always mothers. In the Smart Learning practice, the father not only tried to imitate the voices of the characters in the story, but also tried to get his daughter to focus on the story being read. He tried to put into practice the lessons of Smart Learning, namely that books are a source of knowledge and that the most important thing in reading stories is the time spent together as parents and children.
