Reading Stories is an important technique needed for learning a language and was the theme for this year competition which was sponsored by the Department of Education in Bogor.
This competition started at 7:30am on Thursday April 10th and ran through Friday April 11th and was held at the Bogor PGRI 4 High school campus. Approximately 50 organizations involve in education and non-formal education from around Bogor competed in a wide range of categories.
Competitors were judges on their written entries, and their formal presentation which was followed by questions from the judges and other field observers. Awards were given out on April 21st which was also Kartini Day. (Ibu Kartini was a national hero who advocated for womens rights among other things).
1st, 2nd & 3rd place was awarded by Dra. Hj. Fetty Qondarsyah, M.Si of Bogor’s Department of Education. First and second place finalist qualify to compete on the provincial level.
Cinta Baca won 2nd place in the category of LPK (Lembaga Kursus & Pelatihan / Training & Educational Organizations).
We hope this award will have a positive impact on the number of students enrolled in our varrious programs and especially the number of Foreign Speakers enrolled in our Indonesian Laguage course in Bogor (KuBIPA – Kursus Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing).
